Her Approach to Dentistry

Dr. Cate believes exceptional dentistry starts with listening. She wants every patient to feel heard, comfortable, and genuinely understood. She takes the time to perform a thorough evaluation, explain what she sees, and make sure her patients truly understand their options.

Her philosophy is centered around comprehensive, conservative dentistry. She looks beyond a single tooth and considers the health, function, comfort, bite, and appearance of the entire smile. When it comes to cosmetic dentistry, her goal is to create beautiful results while preserving as much healthy natural tooth structure as possible.

Dr. Cate is committed to advanced education and has completed training through The Pankey Institute, the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, and the American Academy of Facial Esthetics. She has also received advanced training in the Bioclear Method with Dr. Middleton.

For Dr. Cate, “Excellence in every detail” means much more than the dentistry itself. It is how patients are welcomed, how comfortable they feel, the time spent listening and explaining treatment, the attention given to the smallest details, and the care they receive afterward.

Her vision for Parkside Dental is to create a place where people feel welcome, comfortable, and respected, and where they can trust that treatment is recommended because it is truly in their best interest.

Outside the Office

Dr. Cate and her husband welcomed their son, Carson, in March 2026. Her husband now works alongside her at Parkside Dental, allowing their family to spend more time together while raising their son. Their family also includes an energetic Mini Australian Shepherd who was their first baby and has happily become Carson’s new best friend.

Outside the office, Dr. Cate enjoys spending time with family, playing volleyball with her neighbors, and looking forward to future adventures and travel together as a family.

A Personal Passion for TMJ Care

Dr. Cate’s passion for treating TMJ and facial pain comes from personal experience. For years, she regularly woke up with migraines and headaches and thought that was simply normal.

Her education at The Pankey Institute helped her better understand the relationship between the bite, muscles, joints, and facial pain. After making herself an occlusal appliance, she remembers waking up pain free for the first time in years.

That experience changed the way she practices. Today, one of the most rewarding parts of dentistry for Dr. Cate is helping patients better understand their symptoms and making sure they do not simply accept living in discomfort.

Yes, I spent a great deal of time figuring out what I wanted to do. And changed my mind many times. But as I matured and learned more about what dentistry was all about I fell in love with it. The teeth come alive before my eyes, and I’m able to combine function with art, creating a smile that not only looks good, but works well. I’ve learned that the mouth is the key to the health of the entire body, and I am always on a quest to increase my knowledge so that I can keep my patients healthy.
